Can you move minecraft download to another computer
The Microsoft store would only list my laptop as an identifiable device, but the game was meant for my son. As it is his birthday today, I didn't have time to rectify my error, so downloaded the Free Trial onto his laptop. I now want to remove Minecraft from my laptop and load it onto his. He and his device are within my Family, but I couldn't find it when downloading.
Although he is only 10, I have no issue giving him access to my MS account or setting up an MS account for him. This thread is locked. To move Minecraft to another computer, just copy the entire. That will also copy all your saved worlds. You can do the copy via a thumb drive, via a cloud file hosting service, or just email yourself the file.
You may want to compress the file first using Winzip or something similar. If you do, don't forget to de-compress it at the other end! To move just a saved world after you've installed Minecraft on the new computer, just copy that world's entire folder, with all subfolders and files.
