Rufus failed to download file

Additionally if applicable : I ran a bad blocks check, by clicking Show advanced format options then Check device for bad blocks , and confirmed that my USB is not defective.

I also tried one or more of the following: Using a different USB drive. Plugging the USB into a different port. Running Rufus on a different computer. I confirmed, by performing an internet search, that these values match the ones from the official image. Issue description Fedora 28 workstation iso will not write on a vanilla Windows 10 host. Log Rufus version: 3. I'm half convinced you will get the same issue then. That was certainly a strange one! I'm seeing plenty of downloads of the ldlinux. I'm afraid it's not a Rufus issue but a problem with your network connectivity or that you're using a version of Rufus that is too old make sure you use version 3.

At any rate, considering that the files are currently served directly by GitHub, if you can't download them, then the issue is on your side. Just make sure that you use the latest version of Rufus and that your Windows system has had all system updates applied. If you do that, then you will find that Rufus has no trouble connecting to its servers to download files, even if you are running Windows 7.

Sorry, something went wrong. And I'm pretty sure the error is on your side. I just tested the download a few minutes ago, and if there was a network issue, you'd have plenty of people reporting about it. The report from April 17th and your report are the only ones I have gotten so far and Rufus gets downloaded more than 1.

You do realize that that message is just a notice giving you the possibility not to connect to the internet to download files, in case you don't want to. It is NOT an error. I face this same issue, where Rufus just tries to connect and displayed a failed connection error after a while. My workaround was to manually download both ldlinux.

Hello webgrrrl, I have the same issue too, would you please send me the steps to follow about that.? I'm trying to make a usb bootable for lubuntu. Do you know if these two files are necessary when making a ISO image dvd? Thanks in advance Oh, i also see a file ldlinux. As my system is 32bit do i need this too? Either way, I'm afraid it's just impossible to address your issue unless your report it through the proper channels and provide a full log of what you did, so that we can see why the downloads failed.
